Support for foreign investors and companies establishing and operating in Brazil, and in their dealings with public authorities.
Setting up and running an operation in Brazil involves several layers of registration and regulation. The firm guides foreign investors and companies through these requirements and represents them before public authorities.
Matters
- Foreign capital registration. Registration of foreign investment with the Banco Central do Brasil (Central Bank), which underpins the right to remit profits and repatriate capital.
- Company formation. Incorporating a Brazilian entity, obtaining the CNPJ (corporate taxpayer ID) and arranging the resident administrator or legal representative.
- Visas and immigration (overview). General orientation on investor and work visa routes and on the CRNM (foreigner ID card), with coordination of specialists where needed.
- Regulatory and administrative matters. Licenses, public tenders (licitações) and disputes with public authorities, including fines and sanctions.
- Document legalization. Apostille and sworn translation of foreign documents for use in Brazil.
These are the most common needs; the firm advises on other administrative and regulatory matters as well.
